Tigers are the greatest felines on the planet. Their jacket is ruddy orange coat and there are upward dark stripes on the shoulders and flanks that change in size, separating and length. Some subspecies have hide that is paler, some being totally white with either dim earthy colored or dark stripes along their flanks and shoulders.

The gag, throat, chest, midsection and underside of the appendages are white or light. Over the eyes there is white shading that stretches out to the cheeks. On the rear of the ears there is a white spot. The tail is rosy orange in shading and ringed by a few dim groups.
