Where American black bear is known as calm and silent predator, Cougar is cunning and aggressive in nature.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHOOL6pqbLR6l5Hl9UaYii03gZsiSOxteyBEME4wodqn3IwoPDOiec-c59HrGm_NtcRthAzR15owxiYhQZPsqCxBBKOlhmVBIIHf5t-gBQ3em0WMFhUgRroTt_NtLHazQZGv1nZh2-5olb/s1280/COUGAR+VS+BLACK+BEAR.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="COUGAR VS BLACK BEAR" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHOOL6pqbLR6l5Hl9UaYii03gZsiSOxteyBEME4wodqn3IwoPDOiec-c59HrGm_NtcRthAzR15owxiYhQZPsqCxBBKOlhmVBIIHf5t-gBQ3em0WMFhUgRroTt_NtLHazQZGv1nZh2-5olb/w320-h180/COUGAR+VS+BLACK+BEAR.jpg" title="COUGAR VS BLACK BEAR" width="320" /></a></div><br /><h1 style="text-align: left;">COUGAR VS BLACK BEAR</h1><p>Both animals were found in North American mountainous regions. So what would happen If both animals will colide with each other. This is an age-old question that goes back millennia. Who would win a fight between a typical adult-sized cougar and an average adult-sized bear? A classic battle of speed, agility, and stealth VS size and brute strength.</p><p><b>APPEARANCE</b> Physical appearance may slightly vary depending on geographic area. <b>Cougars</b> are light brown, tawny, and in a few cases, black; have spots on side of their muzzle; dark hair on the tip of their tail lighter on underparts. They have acute vision and hearing.Their ears are round and erect and move to focus on sounds.</p><p><b>Black bear fur </b>is usually a uniform color except for a brown muzzle and light markings that sometimes appear on their chests. Eastern populations are usually black in color while western populations often show brown, cinnamon, and blond coloration in addition to black. Black bears with white-bluish fur are known as Kermode glacier bears and these unique color phases are only found in coastal British Columbia, Canada.</p><p><b>SIZE</b> Cougars are biggest felines in the North America. They are found in the Mountainous, desert and Woode regions An adult male cougar is really dangerous opponent. He can weigh more than 100 kg in his prime and stretch over 9 feet from nose to tail. His height is not much good but it over 2.6 feet tall. On the otherside, Blackbears are the symbol of State and Strength but they are not the apex predators of their region.</p><p>These creatures are also be preys of their much bigger cousins like Brown bears and Grizzlies. But they are not that much weaker. An adult male blackbear can weigh up to 350 kg. He can reach the height of 6.7 feet if he stands on his hindlimbs and his height is about 3.4 feet tall. DIET Mountain lions eat large mammals such as deer, and smaller mammals such as mice, squirrels, porcupines, raccoons, rabbits and beavers.</p><p>American black bears are omnivorous: plants, fruits, nuts, insects, honey, salmon, small mammals and carrion. In northern regions, they eat spawning salmon. Black bears will also occasionally kill young deer or moose calves.</p><p><b>POPULATION</b> There are an estimated 30,000 mountain lions in the Western United States. One mountain lion subspecies, the Florina Panther, is critically endangered with a population of less than 100 individuals. It is estimated that there are at least 600,000 Black Bears in North America. In the United States, there are estimated to be over 300,000 individuals.</p><p>However, The Louisiana <b>Black Bear and Florida Black Bear</b> are unique subspecies with small populations. The Louisiana Black Bear is federally listed as a threatened species and the Florida Black Bear is estimated to number 3,000.</p><p>RANGE With the exception of humans, the mountain lion has the largest range of any mammal in the Western Hemisphere. They are found from Canada to Argentina. In North America, they can be found from British Columbia and southern Alberta to California and Texas. Small populations can be found east of the Mississippi River.</p><p>The Florida panther is found in isolated populations in Florida. The American black bear is distributed throughout North America, from Canada to Mexico and in at least 40 states in the U.S. In Canada, black bears still inhabit most of their historic range except for the intensively farmed areas of the central plains.</p><p>In Mexico, black bears were thought to have inhabited the mountainous regions of the northern states but are now limited to a few remnant populations. BEHAVIOR Mountain lions are solitary animals. They are very territorial and actively avoid other cats except during courtship. Mountain lions are active hunters and may travel long distances in search of food.</p><p>They hunt alone and attack from behind, breaking the neck of their prey by biting it at the base of the skull. After killing their prey, they will bury it and leave it, coming back to feed on it when hungry. <b>Black bears</b> are extremely adaptable and show a great variation in habitat types, though they are primarily found in forested areas with thick ground vegetation and an abundance of fruits, nuts, and vegetation.</p><p>In the northern areas, they can be found in the tundra, and they will sometimes forage in fields or meadows. Black bears tend to be solitary animals, with the exception of mothers and cubs. The bears usually forage alone, but will tolerate each other and forage in groups if there is an abundance of food in one area.</p><p><b>STRENGTH</b> Compare to other cats, cougars have small mouth opening and weaker jaws because they do not belong to genus panthera, they are more likely to cheetahs, lynxes and house cats. So, they have the bite force of 150 kg per sq.Inch but their paws and limbs are much stronger than their jaws. Where, Black bear is total a different story, because its have strong muscles wider jaws and the powerful bite force of 589 kg. Per sq.</p><p>Inch and their paws are even wider than cougar. <b>AGILITY</b> Cougars are known to chase the faster animals like rein deer and rabbits. Where they hunt down them in just 2 - 3 minus because of there speed is good. They have the speed of 70 kph but because he is a feline, it’s have some limits because cougar don’t have good stamina.</p><p>It become exhausted after executes some swipes and attacks. Whether Bear is really an opposite it’s have the speed of 45 kph but it can continue the fight about an hour. There is no doubt about bear’s stamina. <b>WEAPONS</b> Cougars have 2 inch longer canines and 30 teeth in its jaws. And their claws are also 2 inches long. Their speed of paw swipe is more than bear’s. It’s about 9 feet per sec.</p><p>Where black bear is also have the same weapons and tactics but it’s speed is less than a cougar. It’s have 2.5 inches longer canines and 42 teeth in their jaws and 4 inches longer claws. AGGRESSION <b>Cougars</b> are more aggressive than any other cats they are known to be risk takers when it comes to their meal or territory.</p><p>They often fights with bear in the wild but it never recorded or seen. It is true that Black bears do not use to fight with other animals when it’s not necessary but it does not mean that they are cowards. These creatures are clever and ultimate opportunist they also hunts and in everglades they also bring down mighty alligators and pythons which is even larger than cougars.</p><p>Now, most animals in the wild will avoid any conflict where they risk serious injuries if they can. So bears and mountain lions generally avoid any fights, although an adult bear will consider a mountain lion as fair prey if he’s hungry. The Black Bear does have a tough skin and can easily overpower a mature mountain lion of they want to.</p><p>But they generally won’t risk it if there’s easier prey. Mountain lions are known to hunt for bear cubs as those are nice, snack size lunch bags for these cats. Even slightly older cubs make a fine meal if there’s no mother bear in the area to protect them. But a mother bear will be extremely fierce in protecting her cubs</p><p> In my opinion, the puma has a good chance of killing a bear because <i><b>black bears</b></i> are not the predominant predators in their habitat. But if the puma gets over a bear with cubs, she has all the chances of her being prey.</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkHoqiBRT7v3WYa7UUN7bWDDxwWHxrN0ccChgbAmdevMCcKvhKghbAyXBvZ1d2X5PgZSGQc_V5eaNw4uVwiGijIAkIjpmnY6yaIKZkg7xWyBhMfkUT6UrqpRdDYQeAFkdSPeM82PL-Lmlv/s1400/BLACK+BEAR_1.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; The hippo and rhino are large, grayish wild herbivorous mammals known for their immense size.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQQIe5utdYzgaK6BMa9Y_Agn6DQlOUkXlBvKIKfpjuOvVXQVABh5lbDHJi48OHdqhwwufWuTVXZN69LTC404yZdD2ifhyphenhypheni9XTnqRC_FeUBCc1F678djVd9LCX5LrP15TWdBo2MMx7QAkfe/s1280/HIPPO+VS+RHINO.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQQIe5utdYzgaK6BMa9Y_Agn6DQlOUkXlBvKIKfpjuOvVXQVABh5lbDHJi48OHdqhwwufWuTVXZN69LTC404yZdD2ifhyphenhypheni9XTnqRC_FeUBCc1F678djVd9LCX5LrP15TWdBo2MMx7QAkfe/s320/HIPPO+VS+RHINO.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><h1 style="text-align: left;">HIPPO VS RHINO</h1><p>The rhino can be distinguished from the hippo by the prominent horn on its snout. The white rhino needs open undulating woodland with plenty of grass and permanent water. Hippos are semi-aquatic mammals so rivers and lakes, not necessarily very deep, with pools of slow moving water and banks with good quality grazing is an ideal habitat.</p><p>Almost 98% of the <b>black rhino population</b> is found in just four countries: South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Kenya when at one stage they were found all over the African continent. The white rhino is found in African countries including South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia. The Sumatran and Javan rhinos are found in Sumatra and Java respectively.</p><p>The Indian one-horned rhino is found in the Assam region of India and in Nepal. <b>Hippos</b> are found all over Sub-Saharan Africa. The largest White Rhinoceros tipped the scale at around 10,000 pounds, the largest Hippo ever recorded weighed around 9,900 pounds and was 45 year old male. The size between a Hippo is barely a difference, in fact I consider a Hippo for the most part to be larger.</p><p>They are definetley longer than a <b>Rhino</b> in length. But the Hippos ginormous mouth can open wider than the Rhinos head, and can deal massive tears on the Rhino. First of all, Rhinos have very poor eyesight, some of the worst in the animal kingdom. Rhinoceros rely on sense of smell to see their surroundings, so if a large Rhinoceros comes upon an angry tempered hippo.</p><p>The Rhinoceros eyesight would be too poor to attack with a full head on charge. Rhinoceros fights are actually not that bloodshed and gore effective like the Hippos, they consist of several minor jabs not too fast. Note rhinos lack the eyesight needed to have a actual tough on fight. Now, compared temperament wise. Hippos obviously are much more short tempered than a <b>Rhinoceros</b>, they get agitated quiet easily compared to the Rhino.</p><p>An<b> alpha male hippo</b> lives in constant fights over life and death with other gigantic male hippos over access with all female cows to mate, and massive 20 feet crocodiles, so an alpha hippo has quiet the experience for fighting. A rhinoceros on the other hand lives a completely different lifestyle, males live completely solitary lives and females stay with their calves for 1–2 years, occasionally rhinoceros meet up at night to socialize, but for the most part are solitary.</p><p><b>Rhinos</b> don’t have the constant battle experience a hippo has, and are certainly less experienced than the Hippo in a sudden confrontation. The stereotype of Rhinos being aggressive killing machines needs to be stopped, for Rhinos although become aggressive because of their poor eyesight from confusion, threats, and fear. However, most aggressive rhinoceros behavior consists of bluff charges to scare away.</p><p>What would a Rhino do if a <b>Hippo</b> comes up and gores the animal? The Rhino doesn’t have enough distance to speed up and head slam the hippo, its best best would be to swipe its horns. However, Hippo tusks are made of ivory, stronger than rhino keratin. So the hippos tusks can be just as large and powerful as the Rhino’s horn.</p><p>The hippo will use its bulk force and power to topple the Rhino into mud or the river bank, there it will either drown or tear the Rhino to death. Last but not least, the rhino horn is very over rated in terms of power. Rhino horns aren’t sharp like needles or swords. They are often quiet blunt from constant use, so the Rhino usually wont have the powerful horn to defeat a hippo. The <b>hippo</b> can open its jaws and tear the<b> rhinos face</b>, even on dry land.</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1unmChCUnATPK3bFyn5niY0iPJPLFPXcqSMUkldizf2UAk3PPqIx50kduoQsf5PaDBMDVfn5kUagYPVhlrCsw0WMBlmQCV2dSUwr67istp7Ot_5cqiD1dggDqwit_1qCybPKM-Z2-EgK3/s1600/HIPPO_1.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; Polar bear facts Polar bear are found in cold areas and come under carnivorous mammal which is native to Arctic Circle which surrounds seas and land masses. It is very large bear with weight around 350-700 kg.</p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyXSu9puOSv8W-XHf44fsWlOPYz9YMTEwDaAcZ3-55s5pvqDhqebZMv-9FoE_zFv2rd76duiglYDgGSGcx7VIAZDLRmqyuyXQ2rye9ntlMFefFmkhAOCbLT07HdV_gHkdd8uS075KdLgIp/s1280/POLAR+BEAR+VS+GRIZZLY+BEAR.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="POLAR BEAR VS GRIZZLY BEAR" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyXSu9puOSv8W-XHf44fsWlOPYz9YMTEwDaAcZ3-55s5pvqDhqebZMv-9FoE_zFv2rd76duiglYDgGSGcx7VIAZDLRmqyuyXQ2rye9ntlMFefFmkhAOCbLT07HdV_gHkdd8uS075KdLgIp/w320-h180/POLAR+BEAR+VS+GRIZZLY+BEAR.jpg" title="POLAR BEAR VS GRIZZLY BEAR" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p></p><h1 style="text-align: left;">POLAR BEAR VS GRIZZLY BEAR <br /></h1><p>It is said as sister species of brown bear as <b>polar bears</b> live in particular areas with cold temperature which is surrounded with ice, snow and open water. They used to hunt seals and seals are main source of their diets. They are known to live both and land and sea that’s why also referred as maritime animals. They hunt seals on edge of seas.</p><p>They are vulnerable species and populations are declining at rapid rate due to loss of habitat and global warming. They are the king of their cultures. They have large furry feet, sharp claws which allow them to adopt the traction on ice. They found in arctic area near Newfoundland Island, James Bay in Canada, humid continental and subarctic, Nowegian mainland and Kuril Islands in sea of Okhotsk.</p><p>The countries where they found most often are Denmark, United States, Alaska, Norway and Canada. <b>Polar bears</b> are arctic zoo animals with powerful limbs which help them to run on land. With the change of whether, seals migrate from one area to another and thus polar bear follow them because they are primary source of their diet.</p><p><b>Grizzly bear</b> is same as brown bear and many called them sub species of North American brown bear because both are one species of two areas. Moreover, some people call grizzly with nick name “silvertip bear” because of its silver sheen in its fur. Grizzly bear is widespread solitary active animal which is often found in coastal areas like lakes, rivers, streams and ponds. The grizzly comes from golden and grey hairy fur of bear.</p><p>It is also said that ancestors of <b>grizzly bears</b> are brown bears. The average weight of Grizzly bear is 180-360 Kg. The length is of 198 cm and shoulder height is of 102 cm and hind foot is of 28 cm. Coastal bear are heavier and more in weight and one huge grizzly recorded bear is of 680 kg. They are found in areas like North America, Canada, Europe and Asia.</p><p>The numbers are decreasing at rapid rate due to hunting and loss of habitat. They are long living animal and females life is more than males because females are not involved in any fights. The average life of male is 22 years while for females it is 26 years. Grizzly bear are both omnivores and carnivore. The diet includes both plants and animals.</p><h2 style="text-align: left;">Who will win the fight?</h2><p>Many want to know who would going to win the fight between <b>Grizzly bear and Polar bear</b>. It is question of debate Polar bear are large and more in weight in comparison to grizzly bear and more sharp teeth and powerful paws but grizzly on the other hand are robust, compact bone structure and more aggressive in comparison to Polar bear.</p><p><b>Polar bears</b> are largest but not robust as like other bears. Polar bear have thinner and longer skull in comparison to grizzly. Grizzly has thick, shorter and heavy skull and more powerful shoulder structure. When Ice melts, polar bear driven to grizzly area and then grizzly have enough to fight with Polar bears. So, <b>grizzly bear</b> would be winner.</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijFIDpPBPuchdgIL1Y3LoQFv0Y-30lk1Fl3lMih6KKhUzVQDAMQDwntJJ_fsaUapUUAp5qTGZAzsDKFK6oFtpyvCZ23gLyhv2CzThzopqHsh-GJ-vjkzIxxjulMUcua88aPScGrg3oBQUD/s1200/GRIZZLY+BEAR_1.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; This comparison goes beyond the looks, diving more deeply into the design, make up and behavior of these magnificent predators Distribution The jaguar is found in the Americas.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4RxEYC9WY-NJSZhMMJU_LVmbm7pR8PGkkg99j7Sz7rKVKK9WlsdXC8OqdEAiWOmIXJ4tkUQzO5DPlhZDIBTeuiiUzCSIWE2A7o9HlHDnLxP_yWSkoEe_T066UH5Yb0JBv39Kbxspe42y9/s1280/LEOPARD+VS+JAGUAR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="LEOPARD VS JAGUAR" border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4RxEYC9WY-NJSZhMMJU_LVmbm7pR8PGkkg99j7Sz7rKVKK9WlsdXC8OqdEAiWOmIXJ4tkUQzO5DPlhZDIBTeuiiUzCSIWE2A7o9HlHDnLxP_yWSkoEe_T066UH5Yb0JBv39Kbxspe42y9/w320-h180/LEOPARD+VS+JAGUAR.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><h1 style="text-align: left;">JAGUAR VS LEOPARD <br /></h1><p>Historically they occurred as far north as California, however the United States population is largely extinct. It extends south through Central America and into Argentina and is known as a New World Cat. <b>Leopard populations</b> are found from China and India to the Middle East and down into Africa. It is referred to as an Old World Cat.</p><p>Size The weight of the female leopard varies between 20–60 kg, While female <b>jaguar</b> varies between 85–90 kg. Male leopard weighs between 40–80kg, While a jaguar male can reach up to 110-120 kg. The jaguar is the 3rd largest cat in the world after tiger and lion. Pattern Jaguars tend to have larger rosettes with spots in the middle.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh41L44OUsuHK_2wcX_mQM0P03pnsXVCvAHsjc-4DiMIg1ctGCCAs5RpLYrexdAy4c2ksEt2tSxMxSv9Go5OvQYR4xLNTIqArJsTTvnJKfcT__9jz3lNeTOLNbEDZ6CbfRrNmS5skYUKqIh/s1024/JAGUAR+VS+LEOPARD.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="JAGUAR VS LEOPARD" border="0" data-original-height="512" data-original-width="1024" height="160" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh41L44OUsuHK_2wcX_mQM0P03pnsXVCvAHsjc-4DiMIg1ctGCCAs5RpLYrexdAy4c2ksEt2tSxMxSv9Go5OvQYR4xLNTIqArJsTTvnJKfcT__9jz3lNeTOLNbEDZ6CbfRrNmS5skYUKqIh/w320-h160/JAGUAR+VS+LEOPARD.jpg" title="JAGUAR VS LEOPARD" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p>The <b>leopard</b> has plain rosettes with no central spot in the middle. Life expectancy Leopards: 12-15 in the wild, although there are a number of cases of females reaching over 17. Jaguars: uncertain in the wild, but thought to be around 13-15. Strength <b>The jaguar</b> steals the show here. Pound for pound this cat is phenomenally strong.</p><p>With the ability to deliver up to 2000 pounds of force, this makes jaguars the most powerful of the great cats even more so than lions and tigers. For example jaguars have a fourth most powerful bite in animal kingdom. while the tiger and the lion are ranked in ninth and tenth. The head The shape and size of the head is very different between the two cats.</p><p>Due to the different styles of killing so the <b>jaguar</b> has a much broader forehead and wider jaw. The Body Jaguars have a large barrel like abdomen. It almost always looks as if they are pregnant or well fed. Leopards, on the other hand, often have a very slight build. Jaguars also have a shorter, stockier build than leopards.</p><p>Tree climbing Most people also believe that jaguars do not really climb trees. They are cats and thus more than capable of doing so but most they only climb trees when under pressure and when they were confronted by people or dogs. Jaguars are not as agile in trees as leopards and they certainly do not spend as much time in the trees, but they are fully capable of doing so.</p><p>From a design point of view it is interesting to look at the tail length. The <b>leopard</b> is very arboreal and has a long tail to aid in balance. The jaguar has a much shorter tail, an indicator that tree climbing is less important in its life. The reason: lack of predators. Leopards have to hoist their kills to avoid other predators such as lion, hyena and wild dog.</p><p><b>Jaguars</b> are the apex predator of the Americas and so have no reason to need to carry kills into trees. They simply outcompete everything else on the ground! Water Leopards do not like water! They will do everything in their power to avoid having to go through it. Whereas the jaguar, like the tiger, seems to be content with spending lengthy periods of time in the water.</p><p>Jaguars in the Pantanal do not have a choice as they live in a wetland. Territories This is one of the least known aspects of a jaguars lifestyle. There is quite a difference with regards to territory that we know of though. Leopards are very territorial and will actively patrol, demarcate and fight for land. They will not permit other leopards moving into their area.</p><p><b>Jaguars</b> are less territorial and utilize more of a relaxed ‘home-range’. There is large overlap between jaguar’s home ranges and these are not nearly as actively managed and patrolled. Recent studies from Brazil have shown male jaguars to not show strong aggression or territorial defence against other jaguars. A jaguar will have a ‘core’ area in which he/she may be the only cat, but this area is small relative to the land used by that individual.</p><p>Killing Style <b>Leopards</b> kill using a suffocating bite. This bite will usually be around the throat, or may in fact be around the mouth. The <b>jaguar </b>prefers to use one of two methods: 1) killing by canines piercing through prey’s skull and 2) By severing the spinal column/backbone with a powerful bite and breaking the neck. Both species of cat prefer to hunt by stalking and ambush rather then lengthy chases. </p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhefCqL0-SPNoTmSUteZN-6q4qdbdO7ftUUT_AY8QZlzUEnLhRMRoRg38d4JpO0J3XcR-PWMJMNGzPvKMkell9oWNpPqyaUoX3HKA-Lh5PWM_MEVCi2J0yALDZelo9KrJwEB9qfUVKx4SCe/s727/JAGUAR_1.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; They have long, round bodies with enormous dorsal blades in their back. Their bodies are dark with white fixes under and close to their eyes.</p><h1 style="text-align: left;">Orca Killer whale<br /></h1><p>These unmistakable examples help to cover them when they are looking for food. In infants, the white pieces of their body have an orange hint. Executioner whales are exceptionally friendly creatures; they are dynamic during the day and rest around evening time. They travel in units of between 3-50 people, driven by females. They set up friendly pecking orders.</p><p>People in cases are normally identified with one another and comprise of about 20% grown-up guys, 20% calves, with the rest being females and youthful guys. They have restricted dispersal from their maternal case. These whales may share prey and only here and there leave the case for more than a couple of hours. Unit individuals master abilities through apprenticeship, like chasing and nurturing.</p><p>Killer whales are extremely vocal creatures and speak with one another utilizing whistles and snaps by means of echolocation, and through actual conduct, for example, penetrating, slapping their tail or flippers, and 'spyhopping', when they lift their head over the water.</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOmjL-JHP_ZoQFicQY-P_8nPiVTqjOyku-rn6a9f_swzyOihb1crnza0yx6iqS5wI3wtZhatOFqmYu6-7C9HvblnM4iywhVCH3bNvtZGfBafzSWVgiqD3UD87a2E3eAeF46PPy9Bt6NRT2/s2048/Orca+Killer+whale_1.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Orca Killer whale" border="0" data-original-height="1229" data-original-width="2048" height="192" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOmjL-JHP_ZoQFicQY-P_8nPiVTqjOyku-rn6a9f_swzyOihb1crnza0yx6iqS5wI3wtZhatOFqmYu6-7C9HvblnM4iywhVCH3bNvtZGfBafzSWVgiqD3UD87a2E3eAeF46PPy9Bt6NRT2/w320-h192/Orca+Killer+whale_1.png" title="Orca Killer whale" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>Orca - Killer whale</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2_ZqI399kH7qAQv1tO48b3SYl_RvbQgYQ0A0nSQbP0nQu-U6hP7dLrqmdkS2gBLRCf0x62lTc3GPprV0epGBXejQCg2gNn2sgWb2WX7000ORUUEC_stIUgnnUSphDm_cl-aVg6bUdOyY0/s2048/Orca+Killer+whale_2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Orca Killer whale" border="0" data-original-height="1361" data-original-width="2048" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2_ZqI399kH7qAQv1tO48b3SYl_RvbQgYQ0A0nSQbP0nQu-U6hP7dLrqmdkS2gBLRCf0x62lTc3GPprV0epGBXejQCg2gNn2sgWb2WX7000ORUUEC_stIUgnnUSphDm_cl-aVg6bUdOyY0/w320-h213/Orca+Killer+whale_2.jpg" title="Orca Killer whale" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>Killer whale</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyv_E2ihhGxoL9cnDfN6RISAXGYsdlx6XQ8UWbBMPP2Ick4eZLXb9KPrtvR4rgLa1msxOkY7sPn9p0lwIpCeYFKCiKulPNIcSmUkXajHR2QQk5M9hG1340-PzfWIeU4Pj3PxQrSQ0Cd_7h/s890/Orca+Killer+whale_3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Orca Killer whale" border="0" data-original-height="534" data-original-width="890" height="192" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyv_E2ihhGxoL9cnDfN6RISAXGYsdlx6XQ8UWbBMPP2Ick4eZLXb9KPrtvR4rgLa1msxOkY7sPn9p0lwIpCeYFKCiKulPNIcSmUkXajHR2QQk5M9hG1340-PzfWIeU4Pj3PxQrSQ0Cd_7h/w320-h192/Orca+Killer+whale_3.jpg" title="Orca Killer whale" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>Killer whale</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVTymN4TEouqZBZ92Snr8TQhMMrp2aIfb6RA2BHUNTXnNNbYgHFjTDHr4s_KolXWtJXtZVptsJLRlsRij-xVP_03dUH5mlV8ZjypqWJ2rIVyd8EedHu66Iey3HqoatFd4GK7AJhsrnQFAC/s1200/Orca+Killer+whale_4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Orca Killer whale" border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="1200" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVTymN4TEouqZBZ92Snr8TQhMMrp2aIfb6RA2BHUNTXnNNbYgHFjTDHr4s_KolXWtJXtZVptsJLRlsRij-xVP_03dUH5mlV8ZjypqWJ2rIVyd8EedHu66Iey3HqoatFd4GK7AJhsrnQFAC/w320-h213/Orca+Killer+whale_4.jpg" title="Orca Killer whale" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>Killer whale</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441432461882104446.post-1635567668142847382021-05-18T12:17:00.003-07:002021-05-18T12:22:46.325-07:00Blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus)<p>The <b>Blue whale</b> has a colossal long, thin, tight body. Blue whales are essential for the "baleen whales" bunch, having, rather than teeth, up to 395 hard, bristly baleen plates that drop from the upper jaw.</p><h1 style="text-align: left;">Blue whale animal <br /></h1><p>These plates are utilized to channel seawater for food. They have two blow-openings which remove flat air and ocean water out of the highest point of their heads when they come up to the surface to relax. <br /><br />Blue whales are singular animals that infrequently meet up in easygoing gatherings to take care of. They speak with one another utilizing an assortment of sounds or melodies, including squeaks, murmurs and thunders, principally during the reproducing season, which is in winter.</p><p>The sounds Blue whales make are incredibly uproarious, the most intense of any creature in the world, and they have been recorded at higher than 180 decibels. They utilize their tails to perform profound jumps, as by lifting their tail over the water's surface, they assemble sufficient ability to plunge up to 200 meters straight down into the ocean.</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitiDtwQIrxNoIqw0Fwl8Zx2wXo8iTMvIgv7mZ7YF5L03sKhl6IOXuE08De40Qlmqmd3oIahzKuAEtGi06yZJ8L5VMzOlKojSD-WCr4bt80FWqt56Os_hZnDtsWZMoK_8niPmDSGl_LRXTk/s1200/Blue+whale_1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Blue whale" border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="1200" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitiDtwQIrxNoIqw0Fwl8Zx2wXo8iTMvIgv7mZ7YF5L03sKhl6IOXuE08De40Qlmqmd3oIahzKuAEtGi06yZJ8L5VMzOlKojSD-WCr4bt80FWqt56Os_hZnDtsWZMoK_8niPmDSGl_LRXTk/w320-h213/Blue+whale_1.jpg" title="Blue whale" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>Blue whale</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMw1Glf9LQB4vJo_hBMoW0TTlS9mk5zTyzlWe-_oTtRi0htgtEIPQB73piRc7QH2nV5wfYTKky8BSzbdSdAFjBXjJLzUCf072muc946O3c9ZJKAJTDvV3UkR130faZMCNZDAz4vtWk_rDM/s660/Blue+whale_2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Blue whale" border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="660" height="210" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMw1Glf9LQB4vJo_hBMoW0TTlS9mk5zTyzlWe-_oTtRi0htgtEIPQB73piRc7QH2nV5wfYTKky8BSzbdSdAFjBXjJLzUCf072muc946O3c9ZJKAJTDvV3UkR130faZMCNZDAz4vtWk_rDM/w320-h210/Blue+whale_2.jpg" title="Blue whale" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>Blue whale</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQI2Z1OMaCgspGLUzovJZKjFvQdsXhOVN4M6EbjVLG9J_rWJUx1AsFPsX6uzo5q4-OK3RsrjjMrbGLxsaM9G6tWCWPICAoJjo5DuURXz0Av_99OEvr6fbtEP4CTjf48IfMMVHxlwaoaZyY/s512/Blue+whale_3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Blue whale" border="0" data-original-height="307" data-original-width="512" height="192" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQI2Z1OMaCgspGLUzovJZKjFvQdsXhOVN4M6EbjVLG9J_rWJUx1AsFPsX6uzo5q4-OK3RsrjjMrbGLxsaM9G6tWCWPICAoJjo5DuURXz0Av_99OEvr6fbtEP4CTjf48IfMMVHxlwaoaZyY/w320-h192/Blue+whale_3.jpg" title="Blue whale" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>Blue whale</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRTA7NDvQtlFE4J0BX9Q8hZaVfINsunXFxtH18laaAxgo0MEevX52vHa3R0bH35CXz-ZTROxCxnJpGuqBMm6aAFydkuDsFUO2TnO_Qpa0-HAI0XuUFq2tbvT0zi0TjRtLTxTszJjvhu-GK/s870/Blue+whale_4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Blue whale" border="0" data-original-height="524" data-original-width="870" height="193" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRTA7NDvQtlFE4J0BX9Q8hZaVfINsunXFxtH18laaAxgo0MEevX52vHa3R0bH35CXz-ZTROxCxnJpGuqBMm6aAFydkuDsFUO2TnO_Qpa0-HAI0XuUFq2tbvT0zi0TjRtLTxTszJjvhu-GK/w320-h193/Blue+whale_4.jpg" title="Blue whale" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>Blue whale</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441432461882104446.post-92042348802746060062021-05-18T12:11:00.000-07:002021-05-18T12:11:15.330-07:00Tiger (Panthera tigris)<p><b>Tigers</b> are the greatest felines on the planet. The long tail ends with a black tufty. Lions feature sexual dimorphism with men, have their typical male, ranging from black to blonde. They developed their males at the age of 3 years. Meanwhile, on-manes from them, living in open areas, especially full.</p><h1 style="text-align: left;">African lion animal<br /></h1><p>Mane makes the lion look much bigger than that, helping the animal intimidating the opponent during the confrontation with other lions and hyenas seen, which is the main competitor of animals throughout its reach. The young lion has a grayish coat, covered with chocolate marks, which then lost at the age of 3 months. However, lions in East Africa tend to retain these spots in their stomachs.</p><p>These animals can be nocturnal, active at night, or crepuscular, showing increased activity on dusk and before sunset. Lions spend most of the day (up to 20 hours) resting. These animals rest to save energy, in the absence of prey or escape from midday heat. African lions are very social animals, gather in groups or proud, which includes up to 3 male lions and many female lions with their children. Proud to be maintained by men, who patrol and mark the area.</p><p>However, there are harsh competition between men for regions and positions in pride. In the case if other men overcome the leading male from pride, it usually kills all children, which is equipped with a previous man. Meanwhile, men don't tend to hunt because of their slow speed and interesting appearance. On the contrary, the hunt was submitted to women from pride, who hunted in groups, working with each other during their hunting trips. Females are very good hunters: they are faster and more agile than men, able to hunt animals that are far bigger and faster than them.</p><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0z4IX6ClwzaLKDhxvUyQKb504RzsXb2fU0i4DritreLDKB9u6tGUwtLoorA8Oav2YphHc5nC7bY5Y6isRJTHIbmKtrxzPQmQ8YrU02oWnic8TaL5sgFkXHvgAgyFNQ9m1OYf4setykxHY/s1020/African+lion_1.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="African lion" border="0" data-original-height="582" data-original-width="1020" height="183" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0z4IX6ClwzaLKDhxvUyQKb504RzsXb2fU0i4DritreLDKB9u6tGUwtLoorA8Oav2YphHc5nC7bY5Y6isRJTHIbmKtrxzPQmQ8YrU02oWnic8TaL5sgFkXHvgAgyFNQ9m1OYf4setykxHY/w320-h183/African+lion_1.jpg" title="African lion" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>African lion</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiC6dM8Dd6zpB257uzuEFZHTnbIsVm5NeRRLuvRnbWBEb44VlOmoY6qMclRfBPvFvF-2JV_0Se-OirJ8UyPmTfTgfPIGhhAo9AcA0kTkDRjZ7bNJdg8xdrBo7NQXqD76y0PY9fD0TN3Dg4/s1280/African+lion_2.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="African lion" border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiC6dM8Dd6zpB257uzuEFZHTnbIsVm5NeRRLuvRnbWBEb44VlOmoY6qMclRfBPvFvF-2JV_0Se-OirJ8UyPmTfTgfPIGhhAo9AcA0kTkDRjZ7bNJdg8xdrBo7NQXqD76y0PY9fD0TN3Dg4/w320-h240/African+lion_2.jpg" title="African lion" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>African lion</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWu86EyNUOEVkh_1d-ryefY73K5GM_CFrmjvwzaUOl3UBHUjZrChZIq2qDRZ9aQaKOFVFXGGar2ctcg33cb-H-bE9_1Fa142mKP6E4lWTaYi9Gp_dhSxVv2iwTRpiSG4jBQbu5uqNm30dS/s1024/African+lion_3.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="African lion" border="0" data-original-height="683" data-original-width="1024" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWu86EyNUOEVkh_1d-ryefY73K5GM_CFrmjvwzaUOl3UBHUjZrChZIq2qDRZ9aQaKOFVFXGGar2ctcg33cb-H-bE9_1Fa142mKP6E4lWTaYi9Gp_dhSxVv2iwTRpiSG4jBQbu5uqNm30dS/w320-h213/African+lion_3.jpg" title="African lion" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>African lion</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br /><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-z5VBrDhcqz_DPUA9dmVOzD2jQ7uuzbrd2alATOnfAAGmzC3XcnYiEfodixWycZolAtftood9pqGEn65JFhBIqzBB_GLz9b8GdwJ3k73U1A4W8YlG9x-6W08yC3f7K9FH6NpzQ_scEei5/s1000/African+lion_4.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="African lion" border="0" data-original-height="677" data-original-width="1000" height="217" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-z5VBrDhcqz_DPUA9dmVOzD2jQ7uuzbrd2alATOnfAAGmzC3XcnYiEfodixWycZolAtftood9pqGEn65JFhBIqzBB_GLz9b8GdwJ3k73U1A4W8YlG9x-6W08yC3f7K9FH6NpzQ_scEei5/w320-h217/African+lion_4.jpg" title="African lion" width="320" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><h2>African lion</h2></td></tr></tbody></table><br />Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7441432461882104446.post-6480702795502438082014-03-31T05:37:00.003-07:002014-03-31T05:37:57.711-07:00Elephant HD Wallpapers<div style="text-align: justify;">
Elephants belong to the family Elephantidae, the sole remaining family within the order Proboscidea. Their closest extant relatives are the sirenians (dugongs and manatees) and the hyraxes, with which they share the clade Paenungulata within the superorder Afrotheria. Elephants and sirenians are further grouped in the clade Tethytheria. Traditionally, two species of elephants are recognised; the African elephant (Loxodonta africana) of sub-Saharan Africa, and the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) of South and Southeast Asia.</div>

The cheetah has unusually low genetic variability. This is accompanied by a very low sperm count, motility, and deformed flagella. Skin grafts between unrelated cheetahs illustrate the former point, in that there is no rejection of the donor skin. It is thought that the species went through a prolonged period of inbreeding following a genetic bottleneck during the last ice age.</div>

Cattle are raised as livestock for meat (beef and veal), as dairy animals for milk and other dairy products, and as draft animals (oxen or bullocks) (pulling carts, plows and the like). Other products include leather and dung for manure or fuel. In some regions, such as parts of India, cattle have significant religious meaning. From as few as 80 progenitors domesticated in southeast Turkey about 10,500 years ago, an estimated 1.3 billion cattle are in the world today.</div>

Gorillas live in groups called troops. Troops tend to be made of one adult male or silverback, multiple adult females and their offspring. However, multiple-male troops also exist. A silverback is typically more than 12 years of age, and is named for the distinctive patch of silver hair on its back, which comes with maturity. Silverbacks also have large canine teeth which also come with maturity. Both males and females tend to emigrate from their natal groups.</div>

Wild lions currently exist in sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia (where an endangered remnant population resides in Gir Forest National Park in India) while other types of lions have disappeared from North Africa and Southwest Asia in historic times. Until the late Pleistocene, about 10,000 years ago, the lion was the most widespread large land mammal after humans.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Lulworth Skipper (Thymelicus
acteon) is a butterfly of the Hesperiidae family. Its name is derived
from Lulworth Cove in the county of Dorset, England, where the first
specimens in Great Britain were collected in 1832 by English naturalist
James Charles Dale. The species occurs locally across Central Europe,
Asia Minor and North Africa, where its population is considered stable.
Its numbers have declined in Northern Europe, leading to its European
status of "vulnerable".</div>

The Essex Skipper (Thymelicus
lineola) is a butterfly of the Hesperiidae family. In North America, it
is known as the European Skipper. With a wingspan of 2.5 to 2.9 cm it is
very similar in appearance to the Small Skipper Thymelicus sylvestris.
They can be told apart by the undersides of the tips of the antennae:
the Essex skipper's are black whereas those of the Small Skipper are
orange.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Platy is a common name for two
related species of freshwater fish in the genus Xiphophorus. Both
species are livebearers, similar to other fish of the family
Poeciliidae, such as the guppy and molly. Platies are native to the east
coast of Central America and southern Mexico. The two species, the
southern platyfish and the variatus platy, have been interbred to the
point where they are difficult to distinguish. Most platies now sold in
aquariums are hybrids of both species.</div>

The Pied Currawong (Strepera
graculina) is a medium-sized black passerine bird native to eastern
Australia and Lord Howe Island. One of three currawong species in the
genus Strepera, it is closely related to the butcherbirds and Australian
Magpie of the family Artamidae. Six subspecies are recognised. It is a
robust crowlike bird averaging around 48 cm (19 in) in length, black or
sooty grey-black in plumage with white undertail and wing patches,
yellow irises, and a heavy bill. The male and female are similar in

The Mary River turtle, Elusor
macrurus, is an endangered short-necked turtle that inhabits the Mary
River in South-East Queensland, Australia. In the 1960s and 1970s, they
were popular as pets in Australia, with about 15,000 sent to shops every
year during a ten-year period. They were originally known as the "Penny

The Giant Leopard Moth or Eyed
Tiger Moth (Hypercompe scribonia) is a moth of the family Arctiidae. It
is distributed throughout the Southern and Eastern United States from
New England to Mexico. The obsolete name Ecpantheria scribonia is still
occasionally encountered. This species has a wingspan of 3 inches
(nearly 8 cm). The wings of this moth are bright white with a pattern of
neat black blotches, some solid and some hollow.</div>
